The Front Street Jazz Ensemble is a 6-piece Cape Cod band playing jazz, pop, and bossa nova. Personnel are Topper Roth (guitar), Berke McKelvey (sax), Steve Reuman (keyboards), James Madru (bass), Colin Cunningham (drums), and Maureen Osborne (vocals).
We play hip music for dancing and listening. Our repertoire includes covers of hard bop tunes such as Sidewinder, Sugar, and Midnight Blue; what we call "island funk" like Cantaloupe Island and The Cape Verdean Blues; soulful pop favorites like Just The Two Of Us, How Sweet It Is, and Unchain My Heart; and bossa nova classics such as Corcovado and Wave.
